The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) has served fresh notice on His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) of its intention to strike over the introduction of the Common Platform case management system.
Legal Advisor and Court Associate members of PCS had been due to hold a nine-day walkout between 10th and 18th September 2022, but that action was postponed due the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 8th September 2022.
The union, which received 93% support for strike action on a turnout of 61%, has now announced its intention to down tools for the nine-day period between 22nd October and 30th October 2022. Urgent business such as overnight custody cases will still be dealt with, but non-urgent work may face disruption.
