A Cheshire driving instructor snatched the glasses from an elderly woman's face in a row over parking.
Emma Sartorius-Jones, 32, of Sonoran Close, Runcorn, admitted offences of assault by beating, criminal damage and using threatening words or behaviour when she recently appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court.
Sartorius-Jones, who was parked outside an off-licence, saw red when the 83-year-old complainant started reversing her car nearby.
Magistrates heard that the incident happened outside Ascot Stores on Ascot Avenue, Runcorn, on Saturday, 29th July 2023.
The defendant's husband, who is partially sighted, was putting the couple's baby in the back seat of the parked car when the complainant's vehicle, in the opinion of Sartorius-Jones, started to manoeuvre dangerously close.
Sartorius-Jones leapt out of the passenger seat and started to berate the elderly lady. The 32-year-old started repeatedly opening and closing the driver's side door of the complainant's car, before reaching inside and snatching her glasses from her face. The glasses were then damaged when they were thrown to the ground.
Sartorius-Jones also tried to snatch the lady's car keys, to prevent her from moving the vehicle any further.
She had been due for sentence, but queried the accuracy of the pre-sentence report.
Magistrates adjourned sentencing pending the completion of a new report.
Sartorius-Jones was granted unconditional bail until her next appearance on Tuesday, 21st November 2023.
