Rhyl Teenager Stole 8-Year-Old Girl's Underwear from Washing Line

A Rhyl teenager stole an eight-year-old girl's underwear from the washing line after trying to break into her family home.

Logan Beacall-Keegan, 18, of Ffynnongroew Road, Rhyl, had previously admitted offences of attempted burglary with intent to steal and theft.

He was sentenced at Llandudno Magistrates Court on Monday, 14th July 2024.

Magistrates heard that the teenaged wrong'un committed his crimes during the very early morning of Sunday, 22nd June 2025.

A concerned neighbour told that householder that they had seen someone clambering over the garden fence during the early hours.

On checking her Ring doorbell footage the young girl's mother found that Beacall-Keegan had tried the front door handle of the property at around 5 am.

Finding the door locked he then headed for the washing line, from where he stole the eight-year-old girl's underwear.

Beacall-Keegan, who has previous for making indecent images of children, was apprehended by the police with the doorbell footage was circulated in the local area. The child's stolen knickers were recovered from his home address.

Harriet Gorst, mitigating, told the court that her client "makes poor decisions" and "acts on impulse", due in part to his use of illicit drugs.

She stressed that her client had not been charged with a sexual offence - on this occasion.

Magistrates were of the view that Beacall-Keegan's crimes were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified. However, they elected to suspend the custodial term in the belief that there was a realistic prospect of rehabilitation.

Beacall-Keegan was sentenced to 8 months' custody suspended for 18 months, with the requirement that he completes 26 sessions of an accredited programme, up to 25 days' rehabilitation activity and be subject to trail monitoring for 6 months.

He was also made subject to a restraining order, which prohibits him from contacting the girl's mother or entering her street for a period of 18 months.

I have to say, alarm bells are ringing when I read this case. Beacall-Keegan clearly has some very disturbing tendencies, so I hope the court is correct that he can be rehabilitated.
