A Leicestershire woman threw a poo bag at a neighbour's face.
Yes, I know, I could have done so much better on the post title.
Ellie Gibbons, 25, of Ash Grove, Coalville, admitted an offence of assault by beating when she appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 27th November 2025.
Assault by beating, an offence contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988, has a maximum sentence of 26 weeks' custody on summary conviction.
Magistrates heard that the "unedifying incident" happened on Sunday, 7th September 2025, just as Gibbons was arriving home from a family lunch.
Addressing the court, the unrepresented defendant said: "She accused me of being a [bad] mum because I smoke weed. I went into the house to cool off.
"My children were out playing and [the complainant] came to the window on the phone to the police to say I made fake Facebook profiles about her."
Gibbons told the court that she too had contacted the police about the complainant making fake Facebook profiles about her.
She added: "I wasn't in a very good mental state and I just wanted her to leave me alone. She came out of the house shouting abuse.
"I did threaten to put a brick through her window. I picked up a bag of excrement and threw it at her face."
The court heard that the complainant responded by slapping Gibbons, before the pair ended up in a tussle on the ground.
The complainant, who sustained minor injuries, later contacted police to report the incident.
Gibbons, who works part-time and studies carpentry, was of previously good character.
The 25-year-old was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and £32 surcharge.
Norma Burford PJ, Presiding Justice, said: "It wasn't great conduct on your part at the time."
