The ceiling collapsed in one of the courtrooms at Reading Magistrates' Court earlier today.
According to a report in The Law Society Gazette, courtroom six was plunged into darkness as a hole developed in the ceiling and water started to pour down.
Fortunately no-one seems to have been injured, although significant damage has been caused.
It is believed the water originated from a leaking pipe in the void above the courtroom.
HMCTS is currently undertaking repair work. It is hoped normal service will resume shortly.
